Charlie Brown, Pistachios, and great multi-element branding
This Get Crackin’ commercial about pistachios is a really good example of using both brand Positioning and brand Identity to make a lasting impression on an audience.
Who doesn’t love Charlie Brown, and who doesn’t want low calorie snacks, heh?
This commercial is done in such a simple, fun, and straight-forward way that it’s nearly guaranteed to have a positive impact.
Did you know pistachios are the lowest fat nut? I didn’t. I’ll probably remember this for a while, even after seeing this commercial once. If I see it a few more times, I’ll likely remember forever.
With all the noise and competition in the market, it’s messaging like this that will break through and do as branding is supposed to do: be memorable via simplicity and value.
